Quick demo of how to graft your forethought (or afterthought) heel closed. This is the same grafting technique you’d use on a standard cuff-down sock toe 🧦 Happy WIP Wednesday! Today I’m wearing my Campus Vest by @aimeeshermakes, knit with @maps.yarn Summer Blend DK. I get a lot of wear out of this vest and a large part of that is due to how comfortable the yarn feels on my skin! Part three of my forethought heel series focuses on closing gaps at the corners and starting the heel decreases. This heel construction is a great option for colorwork socks and can be modified to fit most heel sizes/shapes. It’s worked completely in the round and requires no short rows (unless you just want to add some). Since the construction is so similar to a standard sock toe, it’s also very easy to memorize.
